It’s nice to share a good story, preferably while enjoying a good cigar. So it’s doubly nice when it involves both. Our friends at Long Ashes Cigar Club are once again doing us proud as they roll up their sleeves and open up their humidor for a great cause; the brave soldiers of the Kandahar Koughers Cigar Club.
The KKCC was established in December of 2010 at Kandahar Airfield, as much needed way of bringing those stationed there a chance to meet up and “relax and enjoy a moment in time.” They get together on the first Friday of every month and it’s these care packages from home that help keep this rare respite going. So on the heals of their very thoughtful (and well-received care package a few months ago) LACC with an assist from the folks at Humidipak have put together another Altadis-laden sampler featuring H. Upmann, Romeo y Julieta, VegaFina, and A. Turrent Triple Play cigars along with some Altadis U.S.A. brand cutters and other premiums.
Cookies and emails are always nice, but we gotta believe that these dedicated soldiers are pretty stoked to be opening up a Humidipak and taking in the aroma of their favorite smokes from home. So kudos to Long Ash Cigar Club whose motto is, “it’s not about the cigar; it’s about the camaraderie, the generosity, the brotherhood that comes from a cigar family and enjoyment of this glorious pastime.”
Nicely put, but LACC’s actions speak louder than their words and speak volumes about their continued show of support for our heroes in Afghanistan! Keep the home fires burning and the cigars coming.
