Montecristo cigars were the sponsoring cigar of NFL great and NFL Network analyst Marshall Faulk’s exclusive South Florida VIP event on Wednesday, August 10, at The Playwright Irish Pub at The Village At Gulfstream Park in Hallandale Beach, FL in celebration of Faulk’s 2011 induction into the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

The event, “Marshall Faulk: Road to the Hall of Fame”, featured a ‘meet and greet’ with the seven-time NFL Pro Bowl running back along with other sports celebrities and VIPs. Celebrity invitees included: Marshall Faulk, Michael Irvin, Lawrence Taylor, Cornelius Bennett and more.

A live auction of sports memorabilia and luxury items took place with all proceeds to benefit Faulk’s charitable organization, the Marshall Faulk Foundation. Through his foundation, Faulk is dedicated to improving the quality of life for youth by increasing opportunities for them to lead healthy, fulfilling lives.

Arguably the game’s greatest combination runner and pass receiver, Faulk’s hall of fame career reached its pinnacle in 2000 when he was named NFL’s Most Valuable Player and led the St. Louis Rams to victory in Super Bowl XXXIV. After retiring from the NFL following the 2006 season, Faulk embarked on a career in broadcasting where he will enter his fifth season as an analyst this fall for the NFL Network.

Faulk was enshrined into the Pro Football Hall of Fame on August 6th in Canton, OH.
